Open-sourcing GridFM for real-world applications

Francois Miralles and Alexandre Parisot – Linux Foundation for Energy

This presentation will provide an overview of the structure and technical governance of the open-source part of the GridFM project, which is hosted by the Linux Foundation Energy. We will highlight both the collaborative and organizational framework that drive its progress. Attention will be given to the current technical work being undertaken to extend GridFM in the time domain. Additionally, the presentation will feature an analysis of a real-world dataset curated by HQ, which serves as a testbed for experimentation with both the datakit and graphkit and offers valuable insights into the system’s practical applications. We will also present some results obtained using the GRIT model contributed to the graphkit, showcasing its capabilities and relevance within the project’s scope. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of future work and directions for the LFE GridFM project, inviting attendees to share perspectives and contribute to the project should they wish to get involved.
